Richard Alexander
31 Mar, 2015

7:30 am - Two Seasons Hotel General Membership - Breakfast Meeting with Richard Alexander, Executive Director of the NL Employers\' Council Being globally competitive as a place to do business is the key to continued economic growth and prosperity for all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. The NL Employers\' Council (NLEC) recently commissioned the Conference Board of Canada to benchmark NL against similar jurisdictions to determine just how competitive our business environment is. Last year, Mr. Alexander spoke to the LWCC about this study and is back to share some of the results. NL has a long way to go to be competitive amongst our peers. However, the business community must work together to encourage government to create a pro-growth, business friendly environment in NL to attract continued investment and enable local businesses to grow and expand. Mr. Alexander will discuss issues that are impacting the ability of businesses to compete, what the NLEC plans to do about it, and how we can work together to improve the local business environment. Please RSVP no later than March 27th, 2015 - or 944-3723
